Position: Senior .NET Software Engineer

Client: Cleo Consulting

Office Environment: Hybrid work model with a blend of on-site and remote collaboration.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of expertise in coding with C# (.NET MVC, IIS, WCF) alongside Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proficient in utilizing SQL Server Database, Azure Data Factory, and Elasticsearch within Cloud Azure Blob Storage.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and enhance existing code and architecture to ensure modularity and scalability.
  • Implement enhancements to current features and develop new functionalities based on approved specifications.
  • Provide accurate work estimates to aid in project planning; gather business requirements and refine business rules accordingly.
  • Adopt structured methodologies and design best practices to deliver high-quality, well-documented code that meets operational requirements.
  • Generate custom reports utilizing Microsoft Technologies as needed.
  • Conduct thorough testing, integration, and deployment of developed changes across various environments.
  • Evaluate and propose solutions for any defects identified in production.
  • Document all developed code comprehensively and facilitate a smooth transition to a permanent resource.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Public Safety Experience (15%):

  • Experience in a public safety context, such as emergency services.
  • Familiarity with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) applications.

Development Experience (45%):

  • 10 years of software development experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 8 years of experience in creating services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • 5 years of coding experience in C# (.NET MVC, IIS, WCF) alongside Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with SQL Server Database, Azure Data Factory, and related technologies.
  • Proven frontend development experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, and others.
  • 8 years of SQL coding experience using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience with multithreaded applications and concurrency patterns in C#.
  • Demonstrated ability in building web applications, web services (SOAP and REST), and Windows client applications.

Technical Skills (25%):

  • Strong understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR) and its limitations.
  • 8 years of experience in debugging, refactoring, and optimizing code.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and various design patterns.
  • Experience in designing new modules and functionalities to meet client needs.
  • Familiarity with fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
  • Understanding of UI Design Principles.

Communication Skills (15%):

  • Excellent consulting skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Proven team player with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in developing enterprise-level applications that safeguard sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of public sector governance methodologies.
