We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team at the University of Edinburgh. As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting supplies, consumables, and animals between our animal facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a university vehicle to transport supplies, consumables, and animals between BVS animal facilities.
  • Plan your route and load the vehicle to match this route.
  • Undertake animal cage/tank/drinking bottle cleaning, with facility domestic duties and equipment maintenance, where required.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of, and ability to apply, health and safety procedures in the workplace.
  • Accuracy and ability to follow instruction.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Hold a Clean Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Clean driving record.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous driving role experience.
  • Understanding of good animal welfare and best customer service.
