MRI/CT Senior Radiographer – Private Hospital

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer to join our Imaging Department at The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. As a Senior Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, including CT and MRI scans.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess the clinical justification of radiography referrals and act as an operator under IRMER (2000)
- Act as a point of advice for imaging referrers and patients
- Acquire diagnostic images and physically position patients for a range of presentations
- Operate advanced software on specialized radiological equipment
- Participate in the organization, coordination, and prioritization of work within the department
- Ensure high standards of patient care and professional standards are maintained
- Participate in a CPD program for all staff
- Review images and liaise with Radiologists to consider supplementary imaging procedures
- Be familiar with technical applications available on imaging equipment
- Perform intravenous cannulation and manual injection of contrast agent after training and/or hospital competency
- Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care
- Liaise with other departments and external sources to provide a high-quality service
- Adapt to changes in service, patients, or departmental need
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and make provision for service in the event of equipment failure
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills involving allocation of staff due to absence and adequate service provision
- Diploma of College of Radiographers or BSc Hons
- Evidence of CPD
- Certificate of Competence in CT/MRI
- 2 years post-qualification experience in CT/MRI
- Current HPC registration
- Radiation Protection Certificate
- Evidence of decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and accurately
- Excellent presentation skills
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others
