We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Lounges. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a high-performing kitchen team to deliver excellent food standards and customer service.
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality.
- Monitor and control kitchen costs, including food, labor, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
- Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Annual salary up to £42,000.
- Additional earnings from our annual bonus scheme of up to £4,000 for Head Chefs (paid twice a year).
- 40 and 48 hour contracts available.

- You are probably an existing Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef looking for your first step into a Head Chef role.
- You will have experience of working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills (food prep hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, good hygiene practices).
- Your work ethic is rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in and leading from the front; playing an active role in delivering excellent kitchen and food standards as part of a high performing team.
- Familiar with managing through clear KPIs and making decisions considering labour; stock; food safety requirements plus others.
- You will have worked in kitchen environments where you're required to report on various metrics including GPs; labour/house; food preparation.
- You will have demonstrated successful delivery of training and recruitment for kitchen teams including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs and Sous Chefs.
