Job Title: Finance Analyst-Project

This role will sit within the UK &I Future Programmes, Business Development and Early Life Cycle Finance team.

The Finance team supports the wider UK&I FP & BD & ELC organisation. This role will provide support to the Senior Finance Manager UKI BD&FP &ELC, and programme team.

The Finance team is responsible for the integrity of the accounts and ensuring that costs on Government contracts comply with the relevant costing and recovery processes.

This role will be focused on supporting the finance team on data accuracy and data analysis to ensure compliance with cost recovery mechanisms, and using the data to identify opportunities to maximise cost recovery with rates and recharging processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting underlying finance and business processes within Defence and ELC & BD&FP
  • Ensuring contracts are set up in line with the expected contract position, and that costs and trading reflect the intent of the contract.
  • Defining the process for forecasting costs by operating cost category by contract and subsequent financial variance reporting to understand the key business drivers.
  • Programme managing the forecasting timetable and plan, including review packs, assumptions and risks & opportunities to support underlying forecast.
  • Experience with SAP, Excel, BW
Requirements:

This role requires a strong understanding of finance and business processes, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAP, Excel, and BW, and be able to programme manage the forecasting timetable and plan.

They will also be able to define the process for forecasting costs and ensure compliance with cost recovery mechanisms.
