Blakemore Recruitment is excited to support our Wealth and Asset Management client in their search for a Financial Planning Support Specialist to enhance their expanding private office client support team.

This position presents a remarkable opportunity to become part of a thriving and rapidly growing national organization, with the added advantage of being integrated into a significant multinational group.

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of services to regulated advisers and their diverse clientele. This position offers flexible working arrangements, with 2 to 3 days in the office and the remainder working remotely.

Key Responsibilities


• Proactively organizing and assisting Client Directors in the preparation of formal reviews and ad-hoc client meetings, including pre- and post-meeting discussions. Attending select client meetings with Client Directors and documenting minutes as agreed.


• Tracking the progress and execution of agreed actions from client meetings and other interactions.


• Maintaining comprehensive client records, including suitability, AML, and KYC data; collaborating with Operations regarding data updates.


• Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for general inquiries. Implementing actions or, in cases requiring advice or transactions, relaying instructions to the Client Director or appropriate colleague.


• Conducting weekly meetings with Client Directors to support sales initiatives, manage pipelines, and oversee new and ongoing business, meeting actions, and AML compliance.


• Assisting in the drafting and proofreading of proposal documents, route maps, and advice reports for Client Director review, including utilizing FE Analytics to prepare replacement business advice. Preparing sign-up documentation.


• Compiling tailored quarterly reports for select clients, encompassing both external and internal assets, and presenting them to clients when necessary. Coordinating with other industry professionals to gather information regarding external assets.


• Aiding in the administration of establishing structures such as FICs, FLPs, and external OEICs for clients as needed, along with ongoing administration. This includes liaising with solicitors, ACDs, and external trustees; providing accountants with necessary information to prepare annual accounts and coordinating payments of taxes and third-party invoices.


• Completing static elements of Private Equity and compliance documentation, Investment Subscription documentation, and accompanying AML, FATCA, and CIS documentation.


• Updating and maintaining family balance sheets and gift schedules.


• Applying for and renewing annual LEI numbers and GIINs for applicable entities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Strong numerical aptitude Ability to thrive under pressure and meet stringent deadlines Comprehensive understanding of investment and financial planning principles and processes Proven experience in the wealth management or financial planning sector Confidence to engage with staff and external parties at all levels Familiarity with voyant/cashflow skills is desirable but not mandatory Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-assurance and self-motivation Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Attention to detail and precision Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to uphold confidentiality
