About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Planner to join our team at Booker Group. As a Supply Planner, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end planning and flow of stock from suppliers to stores and customers for short life products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of products and suppliers to ensure efficient inventory management and minimize stockouts.
  • Ensure all processes remain compliant with GSCOP regulations.
  • Manage process changes in branch orderable products to maintain smooth inventory flow.
  • Root cause out-of-stock issues and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Manage poor-performing suppliers to maintain high service levels and stockholding targets.
  • Ensure service level and stockholding targets are achieved and maintained through proactive planning and inventory management.
  • Manage delisted stock and overstock to ensure value does not exceed company targets.
  • Identify seasonality and proactively plan to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met.
  • Monitor and respond to trends to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensure maximum availability for event activity by adhering to critical timescales and escalating issues to the correct level.
  • Foster good working relationships with the trading team to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve.
  • Attention to detail and ability to write reports, interpret data, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant markets and market developments.
  • Ability to flex work approach and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in working in FMCG and a proven record of working autonomously and as part of a team.
