The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early years education, along with proven experience in a leadership or supervisory position within a nursery setting. You should have a deep understanding of early years frameworks and regulations, and a genuine passion for providing the best possible start in life for young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Nursery Manager in implementing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Support and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure the nursery is compliant with regulatory requirements and health and safety guidelines.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Assist in planning and organizing age-appropriate activities and learning experiences for children.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery's quality of care and education.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior role within an early years setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in leading and motivating a team of nursery staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.
