Unify Talent UK is collaborating with a dynamic Financial Services organization seeking a full-time Senior Financial Risk Analyst to enhance its Risk & Compliance division.
Role PurposeThe primary objective of this position is to assist the Director of Risk & Compliance in establishing a robust framework for managing various financial risks, including liquidity, capital, treasury, credit, and model risk. This proactive approach aims to identify and mitigate potential issues at an early stage.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct second-line reviews and provide constructive challenges to essential prudential regulatory documents.
- Evaluate and scrutinize calculations and models utilized for liquidity stress testing and the assumptions for determining capital requirements.
- Review financial regulatory submissions to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Perform regulatory horizon scanning to capture and assess all prudential regulatory changes promptly.
- Analyze credit risk management data and carry out thematic reviews on higher-risk lending categories.
- Support the team in testing the effectiveness of critical financial controls.
- Review monthly and quarterly risk indicators to ensure accuracy and compliance with required definitions.
- Develop, maintain, and implement a comprehensive Risk Management Framework (RMF) and associated processes.
- Must be a qualified accountant or possess a strong academic background in numerate disciplines.
- Experience in financial risk management is essential, with a preference for knowledge of ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plans.
- Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing risk in the financial services sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
