As a key member of our team, you will play an active role in shaping the student experience within university halls of residence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in training sessions, staff meetings, and relevant gatherings to stay informed and connected.
    • Provide administrative support for events, including data entry, responding to student inquiries, and managing event logistics.
    • Contribute to the social media presence of our events by capturing engaging photos and videos at various activities.
    • Collaborate with the team in planning events, brainstorming creative ideas, and ensuring smooth execution.
    • Lead weekly events, encompassing setup, registration, activity facilitation, and addressing any queries that arise.
      • Ensure all events are conducted safely and adhere to established health and safety protocols.
      • Proactively promote upcoming events to attendees, generating excitement and participation.
      • Gather valuable feedback from attendees during events to assess their experiences and inform future programming.
      • Complete mandatory UPP training and engage in monthly meetings with the Student Experience team.
      • Serve as a trusted point of contact for students within the halls community, addressing their questions and relaying concerns to relevant staff members.

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior work or volunteer experience, showcasing your commitment to service and engagement.
  • Familiarity with the university's campus and available student services.
  • Experience in event planning or execution, demonstrating your organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their effective utilization.
  • Photography skills for capturing memorable moments at events.
