About the Role

Molecular Devices is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Europe. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales with new and existing customers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, contract research organizations (CROs), academia, and channel partners sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation and Qualification: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through lead prospecting and qualification.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a sales pipeline through regular funnel reviews, forecasts, and marketing reviews.
  • Territory Management: Grow, develop, and maintain a sales territory through a time and territory plan.
  • Sales of Molecular Devices System Portfolio: Identify, qualify, develop, support, and close sales of the Molecular Devices system portfolio, including Single-Mode Absorbance Plate readers and Axon Instruments.
  • Channel Partner Management: Maintain and develop revenue through current and new channel partners.
  • Product Demonstrations and Training: Prepare and present basic product demonstrations and training to existing and new customers.
  • Prospect Database Management: Develop, update, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and integrity in the prospect database (Salesforce) and existing customer lists.
  • Customer Support: Close liaison with other business team members to ensure flawless customer support from initial interest to post-sales support.
  • Competitor Analysis: Supervise competitor's activities, products, and potential new or improved applications or product extensions.
  • Marketing Program Evaluation: Contribute, drive, and evaluate the efficiency of Molecular Devices' marketing programs.
  • Trade Shows and Seminars: Attend trade shows, seminars, and workshops as well as maintaining customer contacts to develop and improve sales skills.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree educated in a science subject or qualified by experience.
  • Experience: Experience in a fast-paced Inside Sales or Telemarketing role within the Life Sciences industry and a proven track record.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales Skills: Sales driven, self-starter, organized, confident, and a team player.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills: Fluently speak, read, and write in French. Other European language fluencies a plus.
  • Salesforce Experience: Experience of using Salesforce.
  • Analytical Tools: Familiarity with analytical tools, such as Power BI, and other Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • International Experience: Experience of working in an international environment, with global accounts across Europe and the US.
