Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Addington Ball, a specialist finance and accounting recruitment consultancy. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our Directors with day-to-day accounting operations, reviewing the work of junior accountants, and managing and providing accounting services to a portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Directors with day-to-day accounting operations
  • Review work of junior accountants
  • Manage and provide accounting services to your own portfolio of clients
  • Statutory and Management accounts preparation and review
  • VAT Returns and Corporation Tax computations
  • Other ad hoc all-round accounting tasks
Requirements:
  • Qualified or finalist - ACA / ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within accountancy practice essential
  • Experience managing and providing accounting / accountancy services to a portfolio of clients
  • Previous experience of reviewing statutory and non-statutory accounts as well as VAT and corporation tax returns
  • High level of technical tax and accounting skills and knowledge
  • Proven track record of supporting and developing staff
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all business levels
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills required
  • IT skills including Excel and any cloud accounting software such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar
