Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Belong, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for our customers within our village facilities and households.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver domestic services that uphold the core values of Belong and meet organisational requirements to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of customers, team members, and visiting members of the community.
  • Respond to individual customer needs for domestic support to enable them to maintain their household accommodation.
  • Assist the team by responding to requests for assistance with housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate qualities that align with Belong's vision and values.
  • Communicate clearly and maintain a professional manner.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet customer needs and achieve team goals.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prioritise tasks and complete them to the required standard and in a timely manner.
  • Undertake moving and handling of loads, which may involve using specialist equipment.
  • Undertake housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and laundry, using relevant equipment.
  • Complete written work records.
  • Display good customer care focus and a desire to serve others.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety requirements and ability to follow product safety advice sheets and procedures.
  • Reliable and able to fulfill contracted hours and work patterns.
  • Diploma/NVQ 2 in Cleaning and Building Interiors or equivalent.
  • Experience of previous commercial or domestic cleaning.
