Position Summary:

UNITUS Recruitment Ltd is looking for an experienced and meticulous Finance Manager to take charge of the preparation and auditing of financial statements for a diverse portfolio of businesses. This position demands a robust understanding of finance and accounting principles, alongside proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP. The ideal candidate will handle various accounting functions, generate financial reports, and deliver insightful analyses to guide strategic business decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly financial statements.
  • Supervise and facilitate the audit process.
  • Review and execute internal journal entries.
  • Administer the SAP ERP system.
  • Draft and dispatch overdue notices and debtor statements.
  • Assemble sales reports and update RA_SE balances.
  • Analyze sales data and create performance rankings.
  • Maintain the fixed asset ledger and oversee insurance journal entries.
  • Conduct year-end provision analysis and prepare accounts for external accountants.
  • Reconcile and document HP transactions.
  • Conduct weekly assessments of individual cost center P&Ls to ensure accurate cost distribution, addressing any discrepancies with the Finance Head.
  • Provide insights and commentary on significant variances in monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare additional KPIs alongside monthly financial reports on a rolling six-month basis:
    • Cost per unit sold
    • Medicine/vaccine consumption per unit sold
    • Energy consumption per unit sold
    • Salary expenses per unit sold
  • Enhance the recording of raw material inputs into the production system.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Head to establish accounting policies.
  • Oversee the management of two team members within the department.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience in finance and accounting leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ICAEW, or ACA.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
