Job Title: Backlog Officer

Job Type: Full-time

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Backlog Officer to join our team at g2 Recruitment. As a Backlog Officer, you will be responsible for managing and resolving backlog cases in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and resolve backlog cases in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conduct thorough investigations and make accurate decisions
  • Work with local authorities to resolve backlog cases
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of housing legislation, including HRA 2017 and the Housing Act 1996
  • Utilize systems such as Northgate, Enterprise, or MRI to manage and track backlog cases

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in local authorities, with knowledge of housing legislation
  • Confident working knowledge of Part 7 and Part 6 of the Housing Act 1996
  • Experience conducting accurate S184 investigations and decisions
  • Proficiency in systems such as Northgate, Enterprise, or MRI
