Role Overview:
The position of Engineering Delivery Manager is based in Cheadle / Templecombe, UK, with a hybrid working model that includes both office and remote work. Typically, we expect three days a week on-site.
Minimal travel (up to 15%) is anticipated for Thales sites and occasional client meetings within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
- Step into an engineering management role with significant learning opportunities in diverse engineering domains.
- Challenge your thinking by engaging in complex programmes.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team, including Hardware, Software, Systems, Safety, and Cyber Security experts, focused on delivering sonar equipment.
- Provide principal engineering delivery leadership, direction, and decision-making authority for the programme or bid.
- Direct and manage the engineering team to meet company objectives regarding programme schedule, financial performance, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to engineering processes in compliance with company, legislative, regulatory, and international standards.
Candidate Requirements:
- Extensive experience in systems engineering, preferably within the defence sector.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team as a lead or member.
- Strong analytical skills to support logical, effective, and timely decision-making.
- Appreciation of Safety and Safety Assurance within the engineering discipline.
- Previous managerial experience is desirable, particularly in defence, with a focus on submarines or sonar equipment.
