Our client, a forward-thinking accounting firm, is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join their expanding team in their Outsourcing department.

This is a great opportunity to manage a portfolio of accounting clients, building relationships and supporting/mentoring junior members of staff. The role will have scope to progress and contribute to the company's growth.

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Undertake accounting duties for a portfolio of clients across various industries and sizes.
  • Manage deadlines related to client work, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Reconcile control accounts, including bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, PAYE, wages, and VAT.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports, letters, and other documents as required.
  • Prepare management accounts and accompanying information.
  • Train and support clients as needed.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, directors, managers, and staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • At least 2 years' experience in accounting practice, with relevant industry experience also considered.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Benefits
