The Discharge Team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Discharge Lounge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting patient flow throughout the hospital site and supporting our emergency and elective demand.
About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and creative Registered Nurse who is a good communicator and can work collaboratively with the wards to promote early use of the Discharge Lounge in the day. The successful candidate will create a pleasant and positive experience for patients leaving our care, while also working within a supportive team and receiving support with training and development.
Main Duties- Collection and care of patients whilst in the Discharge Lounge
- Discharging patients safely
- Booking transport
- Communicating with ongoing community providers and NOK where required
We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship, we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses.
