About the Role

As a Service Engineer with Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited, you will be working for an established equipment manufacturer supplying the engineering industry. The company's equipment is used by leading engineering businesses to clean their components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake customer service engineering activities, including machine installations, commissioning, servicing, refurbishment, and customer training.
  • Collate necessary documentation, such as electrical and pneumatic schematics, manuals, software, leads, and tools, for each job.
  • Work with the Design department and other departments on projects.
  • Undertake service duties individually and as a team, ensuring compliance with company and customer health and safety policies.
  • Complete service reports summarizing work done and parts used after each assignment.
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance tasks, test, and clean machinery.
  • Explain work completed to customers and provide guidance.
  • Train customer maintenance and operating staff.
Requirements
  • Experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic maintenance.
  • Experience in a similar Field Service or Maintenance role.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel and spend nights away from home.
  • Driving license.
What You'll Need to Know

This role is UK-focused, with travel across the UK and occasional overseas. Expenses will be paid as necessary. You'll need to be prepared to stay overnight in hotels and work long days and weekends when required. The successful Engineer will be provided with a van, laptop, and mobile phone to undertake the role.
