Position Overview: As a Merchandising Specialist, you will collaborate with the merchandising team to enhance commercial prospects through precise inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in strategic planning and forecasting to manage SKUs effectively, ensuring optimal sell-through rates and achieving inventory targets.
  • Analyze customer forecasts and sales data on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to facilitate informed planning.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between sales, merchandising, production, and logistics.
  • Continuously monitor sales forecasts and performance metrics, addressing any issues promptly with the customer and channels team for effective resolution.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to maintain accurate data, including:
    • Tracking both customer and internal sales performance against forecasts and inventory reports.
    • Planning stock purchase requirements and managing warehouse intake schedules.
  • Report on stock status, communicating overstock and clearance items to sales teams to encourage targeted promotional efforts.
  • Monitor sales run rates in relation to stock availability to maintain desired inventory coverage.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess storage.
  • Plan for demand across seasonal ranges to effectively manage factory capacity.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on effective range planning, maintaining precise stock records in Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
  • Experience in merchandise planning within a dynamic supply chain environment.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
  • A flexible team player willing to contribute wherever necessary.
