Job Title: Apprentice Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Join a leading FMCG manufacturing company in the Haydock area and take on a challenging role as an Apprentice Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering, working on a wide range of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical problems, working closely with the production team to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in planned preventative maintenance, ensuring all equipment meets company and legal health & safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with external contractors to resolve complex issues and implement improvements.
  • Contribute to capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects, driving innovation and efficiency across the production lines.
Requirements:
  • Time-served Engineer with an engineering certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in fault finding, repair, and general maintenance of machinery, hydraulics, electrics, and other production-associated systems.
  • Production environment experience essential, ideally in a FMCG organization.
  • Competent to attempt most aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering with little direction.
