Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Signalling Engineer, you will play a crucial role in:

  • Delivering comprehensive engineering solutions that adhere to established standards.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to facilitate the introduction of innovative products into the UK market.
  • Proposing modifications to existing standards to enhance project delivery efficiency.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A solid understanding of ETCS or related communication-based railway signalling systems.
  • Experience in managing engineering standards throughout the design, development, and construction phases of projects.
Project Management

This role involves leading the application of relevant engineering standards across all projects within the national program. You will:

  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure a cost-effective, high-quality, and safe approach to design and construction.
  • Apply engineering controls and procedures to ensure all design and construction contracts reference appropriate Railway Group standards.
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative risk assessments to mitigate potential project risks.
