About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Porter/Driver with a Full Class 2 Driving Licence to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a leading company in the logistics and removals sector, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a nearly 150-year-old organization that values integrity, respect, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and load/unload a range of goods, including furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, and fine art, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary specialist equipment.
  • Lift and move loads in excess of 25kg, taking goods in and out of storage.
  • Work as an integral team member during Larger Specialist Projects, including Laboratory and Executive Officer locations.
  • Comply with all company and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
  • Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Digital Tacho Driver Card (essential)
  • CSCS Green Card (preferred)
  • Drivers Qualification Card (CPC) (essential)
  • Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
  • ADR - Packages (preferred)
