About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Specialist to join our team at UAB Medicine's inpatient rehabilitation pavilion. As a key member of our rehabilitation services team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients with a range of physical therapy needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient's needs.
  • Complete patient-related documentation, ensuring content and timeliness to meet all professional requirements and legal/regulatory specifications.
  • Evaluate and develop plan of care for Physical Therapy Assistants, according to APTA guidelines.
  • Train and orient new department staff and participate in the clinical training and supervision of assigned students and interns.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy required.
  • Currently registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
  • Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
