About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Primary School in Hackney. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism to thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with autism, promoting social, communication, and academic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment, fostering a positive and encouraging learning experience for students with autism.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Support classroom management and behavior support strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
