Job Overview
The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in the evaluation, maintenance, and enhancement of machinery and associated equipment. This position involves executing planned preventative maintenance as well as addressing urgent mechanical failures on production and service machinery.
Key Attributes:
- Ideally, you will have a background as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer; experience in manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of all operational machinery and related components.
- Perform repair adjustments on production equipment while adhering to established safety protocols.
- Execute root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to reduce equipment downtime.
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with troubleshooting fans, pumps, motors, and similar equipment is beneficial but not essential.
- We welcome applications from individuals with experience in vehicle mechanics who are looking to transition into this field.
What We Offer at O-I:
- Competitive salary starting from £18.55, based on qualifications.
- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 39 hours per week.
