Job Summary

The role of an Accounts and Tax Senior is to build strong relationships with clients and take direct responsibility for client accounts and tax portfolios. Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing team files to ensure all standards, quality, and compliance requirements are met and issues are identified.
• Reviewing and finalizing accounts prepared by junior staff members, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Preparing corporation and personal tax returns.
• Providing accounts and tax support for all clients.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for client queries related to accounting and tax matters.
• Ensuring client work complies with all legal and ethical standards and statutory regulations.

Requirements

The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified (nearly qualified) practice accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT) with strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations. They will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients in a clear and concise manner. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel, is also required.
