Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. as a SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with our staff to provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support to students with SEND, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks as required.
  • Support students with challenging behavior, using positive behavior management techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND in a school setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
