About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Student Support Mentor to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. As a Student Support Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their academic goals and succeed in their studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other support staff to identify and address individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans to help students overcome academic challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to students on time management, organization, and study skills.
  • Assist students in setting and achieving academic goals, and provide regular progress updates to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Proven experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs, and a strong understanding of academic support strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
