Breakthrough Scholarship for Memoir and Narrative Non-Fiction Writers

Curtis Brown Creative is proud to offer a Breakthrough Scholarship for Memoir and Narrative Non-Fiction Writers, designed to support emerging writers from underrepresented backgrounds.
Eligibility CriteriaTo be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be over the age of 18
- Meet the financial eligibility criteria, which includes an annual income of less than £25,000 (or £35,000 for married or co-habiting individuals) and personal savings of less than £5,000
We're seeking talented writers who demonstrate a strong potential for success in the memoir and narrative non-fiction genre. Applicants should submit a 3,000-word excerpt from their memoir or narrative non-fiction book, along with a synopsis of no more than a page.
Selection ProcessThe scholarship will be awarded to the applicant whose submission material shows the greatest potential and promise. The decision will be made by the Curtis Brown Creative team.
