Transport Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to support our Transport Operations Manager in ensuring compliance with transport legislation and maintaining a safe and efficient logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Transport Operations Manager to develop and implement logistics compliance strategies
  • Lead the Logistics Administrator staff in providing exceptional customer service through accurate deliveries and effective communication
  • Monitor and address first-line personnel management issues, including timekeeping, attendance, and welfare
  • Plan and implement efficient loading operations to meet vehicle turnaround targets
  • Ensure compliance with BSI and ISO regulations, and maintain a good understanding of Health & Safety legislation within the transport sector
Requirements:
  • People management experience within the transport sector
  • Experience of controlling servicing schedules for a fleet of vehicles
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages Excel and Word, and comfortable using email
