Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technical Operator to join our team at McCormick & Company. As a Technical Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining processing and packing equipment, ensuring quality and productivity standards are met.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain processing and packing equipment, including recipe management systems, batch cards, and standard work instructions.
  • Inspect and maintain safety and quality parameters, including LOTO and HACCP/GMP.
  • Execute equipment start-up and shutdown procedures, and monitor production processes for quality and productivity.
  • Prepare production documents, such as batch records, quality records, and inventory reports.
  • Adjust key variables and parameters to optimize production processes and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Perform Autonomous Maintenance activities, including cleaning, inspection, and lubrication of equipment.
  • Detect and address equipment abnormalities to prevent future deterioration.
  • Maintain equipment performance through understanding of equipment structure and functions.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical control systems.
  • Work independently or with a team to resolve problems and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in food and beverage manufacturing.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, including English and Maths.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of quality values and company brand image.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a flexible approach to working.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues, with ability to work in a team.
