We are seeking a skilled designer to craft an exceptional marketing website and visual identity for a UK-based SaaS firm that empowers business leaders to create and share real-time KPI dashboards, enhancing team performance.

As the sole designer, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop web pages that influence customer choices and leave a lasting impression. Your mission will be to elevate the company’s online presence and visual branding from 'adequate' to 'extraordinary'.

The ideal candidate will thrive in an independent work environment and possess a refined understanding of what constitutes outstanding web design. You will recognize that effective design transcends aesthetics; it is about conveying information clearly, balancing user needs with business objectives, and reflecting a cohesive brand image.

Experience in designing marketing materials for software products is essential. You will know how to create web pages that clarify software functionality and demonstrate its value to users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and enhance web pages and the overall website.
  • Develop and maintain the brand's visual identity across various channels.
  • Create branded materials for additional marketing platforms, including social media graphics, online advertisements, video assets, and diverse content marketing strategies.
  • Conduct user testing to identify opportunities for improvement and assess the effectiveness of your designs.
  • Take ownership of your design process and deliverables, ensuring clear communication throughout.

Technical and Working Style Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in website design, preferably in-house for a software product, where you have led marketing design initiatives.
  • Outstanding visual design capabilities with a keen attention to detail and quality.
  • Familiarity with website design best practices, particularly regarding layout, typography, color theory, and showcasing software products effectively.
  • Understanding of how design reinforces brand identity.
  • A passion for user testing, with a genuine interest in comprehending the product and our customers.
  • Willingness to share concepts and seek feedback early in the design process, even if they are in preliminary stages.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to manage feedback constructively and open to exploring alternative solutions while knowing when to advocate for your ideas.
  • Clear communication skills, especially when briefing developers.
  • Proactive and results-oriented.

Desirable Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Remote/Hybrid Work Options
The company supports remote work arrangements, with the option to work from a small office in London. You can choose to work fully remotely, provided you can attend occasional in-person meetings, or come into the office on days that suit your schedule.
