The Junior Plating Technician role is a permanent opportunity that has arisen due to ongoing growth and development within the company.

In this position, you will support the team by loading and unloading electroplating machinery and directly assisting experienced Plating Technicians with daily operations.

The ideal candidate will engage in various stages of the plating procedure, which includes cleaning, plating, and rinsing components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to comprehend and apply standard operating procedures, technical drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Perform material handling tasks, including the use of slings and jigs.
- Execute surface preparation using grit blasting methods.
- Conduct component stripping, surface preparation, masking, and electroplating of parts requiring specialized coatings.
- Adhere to safety protocols related to emergency plans and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Maintain a Practical Experience Record (PER) book as part of your professional development.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in an engineering environment is essential.
- Strong understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Familiarity with overhead cranes and forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience in the aviation sector is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using computer applications.
