Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Pawnbroking Assistant to enhance our dynamic team. This full-time role is essential in supporting our bustling Pawnbroker Department, which manages a diverse array of jewellery items for our regular sales, typically featuring over 3500 lots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify items from vendors, ensuring accurate sorting and secure storage.
- Handle incoming deliveries and address any discrepancies with vendors regarding missing items.
- Assist in the ticketing process and prepare items for customer viewings.
- Engage with potential buyers during viewings, providing assistance and answering queries.
- Support operations on sale days, ensuring a smooth process.
- Facilitate customer collections and manage the dispatch of goods post-sale.
- Coordinate with the accounts team to confirm payments prior to item release.
- Address customer inquiries throughout the entire process.
- Prepare detailed condition reports upon request, including photographic documentation.
