About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Excell Supply. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with groups of children aged between 3 and 11 (Nursery to Year 6) and support their learning.
  • Follow instructions and guidance given by the class teacher.
  • Ensure children's safety in and out of the classroom.
  • Supervise children during playtime and lunchtime.
  • Prepare classroom materials, including cutting, sticking, photocopying, and laminating.
  • Observe and provide feedback to the class teacher about the children's learning.
  • Effectively manage off-task behaviors.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children or adults in a caring capacity.
  • Transferable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, and caring and helpful.
  • Experience working with students with challenging behavior.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can assist you in applying for this).
  • EWC Registered (please visit the relevant website to register as a SLSW).
