Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized and small group assistance to students with SEN, both within the classroom and during specialized support sessions.
  • Assist SEN students with their academic tasks, ensuring comprehension and successful completion of assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and teaching staff to implement tailored education plans (IEPs) and behavior management techniques.
  • Create a welcoming and positive learning atmosphere where all students feel supported and motivated.
  • Work closely with educators and fellow support staff to consistently meet the specific needs of SEN students.
  • Support the social and emotional growth of SEN students, fostering confidence and independence.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff as necessary.

Experience working with children or young individuals, especially those with special educational needs, is preferred but not mandatory.

A genuine passion for assisting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential is essential.

A commitment to ongoing training and development to enhance skills in SEN support is encouraged.

Graduates are welcome to apply, although relevant experience and qualifications will also be taken into account.
