Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Specialist to join our team, responsible for safeguarding individuals and property within designated areas. Your keen observation skills will be essential in reporting activities and incidents at the client site, utilizing various security tools such as metal detectors and wands. By focusing on service improvement and continuous training, you will help maintain a secure environment.

This role entails:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 0700 to 1600

Weekly Hours: 42

Required: SIA License

Must possess a Driving License or have reliable travel options

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevent unauthorized access by monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV systems as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough external and internal security patrols as outlined in the Assignment Instructions, managing traffic control and enforcing parking regulations as needed.
  • Handle keys, perform locking and unlocking tasks, and conduct routine checks of security equipment as specified in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Issue visitor and contractor passes, manage lost property, and maintain all logbooks and records in compliance with the Assignment Instructions.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and information to all staff, visitors, and contractors while ensuring the security of the premises and adherence to health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections.
Essential Qualifications
  • SIA Licence - Preferably Door Supervisor
  • CCTV Licence - Preferred but not mandatory
  • Access to a vehicle or reliable transport links
  • Right to Work and a 5-year checkable history
  • Confident and observant
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficient in IT
  • Eager to learn about Weighbridge operations
