Job Summary:

Venture Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support an established Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) in their financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in managing Purchase Ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations, and purchase invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including Purchase Ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Process and post journals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Sage systems, ideally Sage 200.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use own initiative.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary of £35-40,000 per annum, plus the opportunity to work with a reputable recruitment agency and a dynamic SME.
