About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Young People service in Ealing. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet their assessed needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building supportive relationships with customers and working proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities.
  • Supporting customers to set personalised goals and conducting regular key work sessions to achieve these goals.
  • Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers, promoting a positive risk-taking approach.
  • Providing support with daily living activities and developing links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide engagement opportunities for customers.
  • Empowering customers to access the services and benefits they are entitled to and encouraging them to pay their rent and manage their accounts effectively.
  • Ensuring adherence to Look Ahead's health and safety policies and procedures.
About You

We are looking for someone who is fundamentally calm and resilient, with a practical and logical mind and a natural ability to be well-organised. You should be flexible, open to feedback and self-development, and thrive in dynamic and diverse environments.

You will have a strong customer focus, be motivated towards excellence and improvement of personal performance, and have a can-do attitude. You should also be able to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviours.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards an NVQ.
  • 1 year experience working with young people.
