Preconstruction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our dynamic team at our Surrey office. As an industry-leading Design & Build contractor specialising in commercial office fit outs, we are a well-established business with 30 years presence in London and various regional locations.
The Preconstruction Manager will play a pivotal role in our organisation, overseeing the preconstruction phase of projects and leading our preconstruction team to deliver high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preconstruction phase of projects, including the preparation of estimates, budgets, schedules, and value engineering analysis.
- Collaborate with the business development and design teams to review and provide input on project proposals, ensuring that they are aligned with the client's objectives, budget, and timeline.
- Manage the bidding process, including the solicitation of subcontractor and supplier proposals, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection.
- Conduct thorough site evaluations and assessments to identify potential challenges, opportunities, and risks during the preconstruction phase.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the preconstruction process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of successful preconstruction management on commercial office fit out projects, preferably within the London market.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing preconstruction team.
- Proficiency in industry-standard preconstruction software and tools, such as estimating, scheduling, and building information modeling (BIM) software.
