We are seeking a skilled CHP Service Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engines, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine CHP engine servicing, adhering to agreed timescales.
  • Fault find and diagnose issues with engine reliability and performance, with successful rectification and return to service of the unit.
  • Be skilled in the use of electrical drawings and parts manuals.
  • Assist Customer Account Manager and Operational Team Leaders on all aspects of CHP maintenance.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Veolia policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Be conversant with the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment required to carry out CHP servicing and repairs.
  • Have qualifications and/or experience on gas engine maintenance and the ability and desire to be trained.
  • Have sound knowledge in engineering practices and be conversant with the operation of CHP plant.
  • Be Gas Safe trained or willing to undertake training (paid by Veolia).
  • Undertake weekend (1 in 5) call-out duties as required by management.
  • You will ideally have a sound understanding of electrical fault finding and rectification.
  • Hold a full driving license.
