Health and Safety Advisor Role

Elvet Recruitment is on the lookout for a skilled Health and Safety Advisor to join a leading Civil Engineering firm in the North East. This organization specializes in Civil and Groundworks projects across a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
  • Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate safety measures
  • Assist the HSE Manager in the adoption of new safety protocols
  • Identify training requirements and coordinate training sessions for staff
  • Perform LOLER & PUWER inspections
  • Foster a culture of Health and Safety within the organization and beyond
  • Ensure adherence to HSE regulations
  • Prepare documentation for Incidents, Accidents, and Near Misses

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction sector is essential
  • Understanding of civil subcontracting practices
  • NEBOSH certification required
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
  • IOSH Certification is advantageous
  • Must possess a valid UK Driving License

The position offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000 along with benefits such as a Car/Car Allowance, Fuel Card, Holidays, and Healthcare schemes.
