Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our dedicated team and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional residential projects. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for securing projects through detailed, specific, and thorough understanding of tender information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of tenders by gathering detailed information and requirements, setting priorities.
  • Proactive involvement in establishing the Bid Strategy to win assigned tenders.
  • Bid management to ensure a robust tender is produced to meet tender deliverables and timescale.
  • Preparation of construction budgets by studying design information, updating specifications, and identifying and projecting costs for each element of the projects.
  • Obtaining bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
  • Tender reviews, analysis, and presentations.
  • Resolving any cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Preparation of tender reports.
  • Maintenance of quality service and contribution to the Griggs Homes Client Journey.
  • Supporting the commercial team and regular review of the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience as Estimator/Senior Estimator (high-end residential experience beneficial).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent commercial acumen.
  • Experience using Procore software beneficial but not essential.
  • A proactive and organized approach with the ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
