Job Title: Night Reception Centre Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Night Reception Centre Worker to join our team at Kent County Council's Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking (UAS) Children's Service. As a key member of our Reception Centre team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in Kent.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of managers and workers who are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children. As a Night Reception Centre Worker, you will be responsible for managing routines, setting goals for young people, and facilitating a learning culture in the centre. You will also be required to work across a rolling shift pattern, including regular cover over weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and care to newly arrived unaccompanied asylum-seeking children
  • Manage routines and set goals for young people
  • Facilitate a learning culture in the centre
  • Work across a rolling shift pattern, including regular cover over weekends

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of working with children and a strong commitment to ensuring their safety and well-being. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
