We are seeking a highly skilled Land Consents Manager to join our Engineering Design & Consents Team within Large Capital Delivery (LCD). This role is responsible for securing, maintaining, and managing strategic land and property rights for underground cables, overhead lines, and ground-mounted plant on both public and privately-owned land.
Key Responsibilities- Devising land consents strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and sustainably.
- Managing asset risk in line with our network security obligations and requirements.
- Preparing, negotiating, and successfully acquiring wayleaves, servitudes, land purchases, lease agreements, and access permissions across a portfolio of Large Capital Delivery projects.
- Assessing, negotiating, and successfully settling related agreements, including compensation claims throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to develop and foster positive working relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant consents and experience in securing both voluntary and statutory consents for capital projects.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience working within a Rural or Land Management setting, or utilizing and working with Land Agents as a Contractor.
- Experience of working with and getting agreement from key stakeholders, such as landowners, tenants, and their agents, local authorities, and national agencies.
- A full, current driving license.
