About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civils Operative to join our team at Stonbury, a progressive and inclusive water industry contractor. As a Civils Operative, you will play a crucial role in delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant.
  • Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner.
  • Perform physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application.
  • Operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, including wearing full PPE at all times.
  • Follow the Company Safety Handbook and all other safety instructions.

Requirements

  • Experience of working on-site in a labourer capacity.
  • Possess a conscientious and positive attitude to work.
  • Holds a SSSTS certificate or equivalent.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training.
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility.
  • Ability to lift, carry and push equipment.
  • Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and reporting relevant matters.
  • Demonstrate good driving skills in company vans, where driving will be monitored and tracked.
