Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Engineer to contribute to our operations, focusing on electrical engineering within mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess relevant electrical qualifications and a strong background in mobile technology.

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8.00am-5.00pm
  • Fieldwork primarily in Surrey with occasional assignments in London

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mobile systems and equipment
  • Address reactive and emergency breakdown tasks as assigned
  • Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Ensure compliance with onsite Quality Assurance protocols and maintain accurate documentation related to electrical components
  • Respond promptly to all electrically related maintenance requests
  • Coordinate initial actions for client requests
  • Assist in managing specialist subcontractors for electrical maintenance tasks
  • Handle call-outs and emergency breakdowns related to electrical services
  • Complete all tasks in line with established service standards
  • Utilize electronic devices for job documentation
  • Maintain site records and logs
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance to extend equipment lifespan
  • Proactively seek ways to reduce energy consumption and suggest improvements
  • Adhere to health, safety, compliance, and local regulations
  • Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent
  • 18th Edition IEE Registration or equivalent; or
  • Health and Safety Certification
  • Experience in maintenance duties, including fault diagnosis and rectification
  • Familiarity with electrical aspects of building maintenance schedules
  • Experience in electrical installation, testing, and inspection
  • Knowledge of High Voltage systems
  • Good mechanical understanding
  • C&G in a Mechanical discipline or equivalent (e.g., NVQ)
  • Understanding of AHUs, FCUs, AC systems, pumps, motors, plumbing, and drainage
  • Comprehension of Critical and Non-Critical systems

Desirable Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or equivalent
  • Electrical Apprenticeship in building maintenance
  • Experience with computer-based PPM management systems
  • Familiarity with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
  • Supervisory experience for future growth
