Position Overview

Jackson Hogg Ltd is proud to partner with a reputable organization in the search for a Financial Accounting Lead. This role is pivotal in overseeing financial governance and general ledger operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

  • Monthly Financial Reporting: Prepare a detailed set of balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations, ensuring thorough analysis.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to tax, statutory, and legal obligations, collaborating with external service providers as necessary.
  • Timely Filings: Manage the submission and payment of all assessments, returns, and filings, including VAT, corporate income tax, and social security contributions.
  • Audit Coordination: Facilitate effective collaboration with external auditors throughout various stages of the audit process.
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Oversee the preparation and filing of statutory financial documents, taking full ownership of the process.
  • Country-Specific Reporting: Handle specific statutory reporting requirements, including financial statements and VAT returns.
  • Intercompany Reconciliations: Conduct reconciliations between intercompany accounts.
  • Support for Financial Controller: Assist the Financial Controller with analytical tasks and special projects as needed.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Professional Qualifications: CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification or in progress.
  • Technical Expertise: A solid background in technical accounting.
  • Commercial Experience: Proven experience in a business environment.
  • ERP Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP software systems.
  • Dynamic Approach: A proactive and forward-thinking mindset, suitable for newly or part-qualified accountants.
