Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for ensuring the optimal production conditions of the plant equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and execute maintenance work to keep all plant equipment in operating condition.
  • Plan and perform preventative maintenance services to machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Diagnose and analyze problems with equipment and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic assemblies according to diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Identify potential equipment failures and recommend preventive action.
  • Document maintenance repairs and ensure technical records are completed and stored appropriately.
  • Perform all operations in compliance with legal and company policies and procedures regarding EHS, storage, and housekeeping.
  • Other reasonable duties assigned by the line manager.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in maintenance, such as a national diploma, apprentice, or NVQ.
  • 5 years of industrial experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical plans and ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues.
  • Able to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, including P&IDs.
  • The ability to operate with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience with PC skills in a Windows environment is essential.
